Full system upgrade – Cobham

We were delighted to be asked to complete a full system upgrade with some additions for one of our returning clients’ new home. Maintaining a good relationship with our clients before, during and after completion of any project is always our priority.

In this project the previous owner had taken a lot of equipment and left a somewhat basic, part working system. Starting with the basics of scoping out what cabling was in place to give our client options what was possible without causing any damage.

Fitting a total of 8 new 4k UHD TVs ready for a Pulse-eight Neo video distribution matrix to be deployed which would allow all rooms to view any source without the need for all those cables and boxes around the tv area. In terms of surround sound for tv rooms we were somewhat limited with our options due to a lack of cabling. Fortunately, we were able to offer a Sonos wireless surround sound system which includes a sound bar, 2 surround speakers and subwoofer. After successful installation of the Sonos system, our client was delighted and decided to put one in the newly converted games room.

A dated gate entry system was removed to make way for a Control4 door station complete with a total of four 10inch on wall touchscreens all using the existing infrastructure. With no passwords given for the Wi-Fi network, all access points had to be reset to factory defaults and reconfigured. Along with many other minor upgrades, we were able to resolve all issues and leave happy clients to their newly upgraded and now fully functioning system.
