Our client specified a distributed audio system around the house, with the ability to add zones to play together or used individually, this included 3-bedroom suites, a drawing room, dining area and kitchen. These audio zones were all controlled using an 8-inch portable Control4 touchscreens located in each of the rooms.
In addition to the internal audio, a discreet system was required for the garden patio area. The average external speakers would not be fitting for the location, with the buildings historic features it was important the speakers were as hidden as possible. The triad array system was ideal for the install, with 6 dark brown small satellite speakers fixed below the wall level, ensuring these could not be seen from the grounds. In addition to the speakers an external grade triad subwoofer was placed in the corner to pack the extra punch if required.
An existing media room was in place, boasting Monitor Audio bookshelf speakers and a TV hidden behind a moveable library shelves. With existing cabling in place, we looked to upgrade the system with newer equipment whilst maintaining the rooms elegant aesthetics. Replacing the monitor audio bookshelf speakers for their newer and more powerful replacements. The backbone AVR was replaced with a sleek new Denon to distribute the audio and send video to the new 55 inch Samsung 4k TV.
